Renowned for its silk-like lustre and beautifully soft handle, Sea Island cotton is the most luxurious cotton in the world. It’s also the rarest. Farmed by specialists exclusively in the Caribbean, only 150 bales are produced each year, accounting for just 0.00002% of the global cotton supply. We’ve been working with Sea Island cotton for over a century and our name, Sunspel, is inspired by the Caribbean’s unique weather conditions, essential for growing it. Drawing on our unique heritage, our Sea Island cotton collection is one of the widest in the world.
